An open letter signed by emblematic figures such as Eduardo Galeano and Osvaldo Bayer, urges the president of Argentina to end the wave of repression that is terrorizing farmers and native people living in the Neoliberal’s den.

Since the Kirchner dynasty got to power in 2003, Neoliberalism expanded its grasp on Argentina’s valuable natural resources. Mega-mining, soy production, and the new prospective of fracking threaten the land and the people who depend on it.

ODHPI, a human rights watch group, reports that several kidnappings and killings occurred in the most sensitive regions of Neuquén, Santiago del Estero, Chaco and Formosa provinces.
