8246177990_e419297b85 It’s time to listen to the people who are affected the most by climate change. Last year, Naderev Saño, the lead negotiation for the Philippines at the U.N. Climate Change Conference in Doha, delivered a tearful speech about climate change.

Today, the Phillipines is engulfed in one of the worst extreme weather disasters any country has ever experienced, so Mr Saño has decided to go on a hunger strike to demand action on climate change. “What my country is going through as a result of this extreme climate event is madness. The climate crisis is madness,” he announced to the Climate Change Summit in Poland.
